This Week’s Message

In this CORE teaching, we begin a study of the Book of Revelation by tackling some of the biggest questions surrounding the end times. Is Revelation symbolic or literal? Is it meant to be read as a timeline? What about the Rapture, Tribulation, Millennium, Antichrist, and Second Coming?

We explore the four general views of Revelation and establish an important principle for interpreting this book: let Scripture interpret Scripture. Then we begin working through Revelation 11 as a practical example, looking at its imagery and asking how the rest of the Bible helps us understand what John is seeing.

This teaching is part of CORE, a monthly class at The Connect Church designed to help believers grow deeper in Scripture, theology, and the gospel.

A Well Laid Trap

Compromise rarely begins with outright rebellion—it starts with subtle deception that pulls our hearts out of alignment with Christ.

As part of our Summer of Revelation series, “A Well Laid Trap” explores Revelation 2:18–29, where Jesus addresses the church in Thyatira. While He commends their love, faith, service, and perseverance, He also confronts their willingness to tolerate compromise. This message reminds us that compassion must never come at the expense of holiness, and that our calling is to remain aligned with the truth of God’s Kingdom—not the pressures of culture or the promises of worldly security. Jesus sees our hearts, exposes every hidden trap, and calls His Church to hold fast until He returns.
