That Zombie Life
Date: Sunday, August 9, 2026
Scripture: Revelation 3:1–6
Speaker: Pastor Kyle Horner
Message Summary:
You can have the reputation of being alive while spiritually dying on the inside. Jesus isn’t looking for the appearance of life—He’s calling His Church to wake up, strengthen what remains, and live fully surrendered to Him.
As part of our Summer of Revelation series, “That Zombie Life” explores Revelation 3:1–6 and Jesus’ message to the church in Sardis. Though they had built a reputation for being alive, Jesus saw a very different reality. Pastor Kyle challenges us to examine whether our lives truly reflect Christ or simply resonate with what is comfortable to us. The Christian life isn’t about living to be praised—it’s about dying to ourselves so we can be raised to new life in Christ. Jesus calls us to wake up, remain watchful, strengthen what is dying, hold fast to His Word, and repent. We can either rot in complacency or be resurrected into the life Jesus has called us to live.
